A Canadian Photographer who thinks you're awesome.
I love all the weird little things that come together to create something you will remember, so I'm always trying to throw myself into situations that support the people and places I feel deserve to be celebrated. The intimate, the lively, the powerful, and the silly; I love people who aren't afraid to feel something. I love when you aren't afraid of props, and high-fashion styling, and grungy old bars, and hidden jungles, and I want to be there with you, carving out something that means something to you.
Shooting for good people is important to me - from sexy fashion brands with ethical practices, to charities I believe in - when we can connect on an idea we are all excited about- great things happen.
My latest fine art showing is Party Animals, where I cast rescued exotic pets as house guests in an 80's house party to support WWF Canada.
Presently hiding out behind a camera somewhere, pulling someone out of their comfort zone.
New big things coming soon :)
Why is it important for people to have art in their home or life?
I'm a big believer in the little things. Maybe a picture reminds you of a feeling, the texture on a bowl reminds you of the town where you got it, or the person you were at that time. We need reminders, and we need cues to continue building our own worlds in our minds.
Best season of the year in Toronto
Summer, absolutely. The city comes alive, plants and animals are thriving and everyone starts smiling again.
Last fav read was Patti Smith's Just Kids, or A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara.
When did you start making art, and why?
I have always had something inside of me I need to get out.
